Here you will find activities linked to the learning we have been doing in school.

You will find mathematics, Literacy, Phonics  and Topic activities to work on with your child. 


Week Beginning 2.11.20.


White Rose Home learning - work through Sessions 1 - 5 during the week.  Download the printable activity for each lesson. Watch the video together then complete the activity using lots of discussion with your child.  If you need to, record their understanding for them on the sheet.

Our focus this week is o, k and c. Please practice reading and writing these sounds. 

Can you go on a sound hunt? What words begin with these sounds? 

Can you draw and label pictures of the things that you found?


Download and print off the phonics sheets o,k,c  in the "Files" section. Trace, copy and practise the letter sound completing the sheet.

1) Practise writing your name, forming your letters correctly. Remember to hold your pencil with froggy fingers.

2) Share a story together. Talk about the front cover, the title and the author. Model tracking the text left to right, top to bottom. Talk about the story and illustrations.

Topic activities:

1)  Make a leaf necklace:  You will need leaves, string and a pair of scissors.  The instructions are in the 'Files' section.

2) Make a nature trail for someone to follow in your garden.  Walk around your garden and find the most interesting things or places.  Make some picture signs for places to make a stop and get them to give you a guided tour of their nature trail talking aout everything in the garden.
